About the Artist

Jay Falstad is avid angler, artist & conservationist. He's fished all over the United States, as well as exotic locations in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.

He works from his lakeside studio on Maryland's Eastern Shore. His familiarity and love of sport fishing led him to paint fish for anglers who desire a personal and affordable alternative to taxidermy works. Jay works with watercolors because, "watercolors seem to be the most appropriate medium when you're painting fish."

His works have been featured in The Baltimore Sun, The Philadelphia Inquirer and in The Star newspapers and he has had many displays along the East Coast.
